Puppy Warranty
Here at Câine de Lup Kennels, we take your puppies health very serious. For that reason we give a very comprehensive warranty for the new clients peace of mind. The hips are warranted based on SV result scores ONLY, completed at a age prior of 14 months old. We will not accept any other grades from any other organization besides the SV, nor we will accept opinions on hips or elbows grades from any vets besides one which is certified with the SV. This means that if your dog does not receive a passing grade you will receive a new puppy and you can also keep the old one, since most people get attached to their dogs by that age. We are very confident in our dogs and puppies health, that is the reason why we offer this quality warranty that most breeders don't.
As a new owner, you will play a very crucial part in your new puppy's development stages. Since even a puppy born with excellent hips can score poor with the SV (at 12 months of age) due to outside influences such as: over feeding, malnourishment, over exertion and lack of exercise, you should keep in mind that you as a owner play a big part into keeping your dog healthy. ANY Health issues that arise from the ones listed above, will NOT be covered under the warranty!
Below is the actual contract with the terms and conditions. This can be emailed to the new owner and a completed copy will have to be returned either by fax or brought to the final sale.

PUPPY WARRANTY & TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
The Seller warrants to the Buyer:
- The puppy will have had the first and second sets of vaccines, and will be dewormed since the age of two weeks old. As of the date the Buyer receives the puppy, the puppy is Guaranteed to be in good health and free of communicable diseases. The buyer has 72 hours within acceptance of the puppy to have the puppy examined at their own expense by a Licensed Veterinarian. Any claims against the puppy must be made available to the breeder in writing at that time. Verification by a signed copy of a veterinary statement and proof of records will be required for any claims made against the health of the puppy. All veterinary records will be made available to the breeder in such an event.
- If your puppy has genetic-crippling canine hip dysplasia, this will present itself within the first 12 months of age and can be seen by X-rays. Genetic canine hip dysplasia is present in both hips and not just one. Subluxation or unilateral H/D, (present in one hip only), is NOT WARRANTED as this may be as a result of injury, dietary deficiency and over exertion during pertinent puppy raising time/development which is the responsibility of the owner, not the fault of genetics or the breeder. The puppy's hips must be x-rayed by a Licensed or Certified SV Veterinarian who is skilled at producing and positioning views for SV evaluations at 1 year of age. A duplicate copy of the x-ray on a CD disk or duplicate file needs to be submitted to the breeder by mail. Since dogs with certified excellent/ normal hips can have a puppy with bad hips, we will accept X-Ray copies which are obviously a non-passing grade. We will NOT accept Vet options.
- At 14 months of age, unless you had a preliminary x-ray prior by a Licensed or Certified SV Veterinarian,(mentioned in section II), this warranty is VOID. We do not require owners to X-ray hips unless the pup/dogs will be used for breeding purposes. Dysplasia caused by obesity, dietary deficiency, or overexertion and other preventable reasons is NOT WARRANTED. Replacements of any puppies who are sold on either a Limited, or Full Registration are limited to one replacement puppy per original sales agreement of the breeders choice and from the soonest available litter.
- If the hips do not have a passing score from the SV, by the above terms and conditions of the hip/elbow warranty coverage, a puppy from a subsequent litter, of the breeders choice, will be made available. We DO NOT require that you return your old pup. The buyer will be responsible for any differences in the price of the replacement puppy from any litter above this amount.
- If a dog that is subject to this contract is bred or becomes pregnant prior to hip/elbow certification, this contract becomes NULL AND VOID. If the dog is spayed or neutered before 14 months of age and does not allow the animal to reach full gender development affecting the hormone levels needed and may lead to improper growth or development of healthy hips and joints.
- No warranties are given for the temperament or the fitness of the animal for any specific intended purposes.
- The seller shall not be held responsible for any non-genetically derived diseases or disorders, or for any health problems, regardless of nature, that are due to improper care and maintenance of the dog.
- Reproductive development and capability is not warranted.
- This contract applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
- This contract is agreed upon by both Buyer and Seller and both will retain a copy for his/her records at time of final sale.
- There are no additional warranties, either intended or implied.
- The Purchaser hereby releases the seller from any and all liability arising out of the sale, raising or training of the above mentioned puppy/dog. The purchaser further expressly agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the seller with respect to any alleged liability or liabilities that the seller might be charged with including the tendering of defense to the seller, by the purchaser in the event litigation by reason of the activities raising or training of the puppy/ dog.
THE PURCHASER HAS READ ALL OF THE FOREGOING AND UNDERSTANDS AND AGREES WITH THE ABOVE PROVISIONS, AND ACKNOWLEDGES A RECEIPT OF A COPY OF THIS AGREEMENT.
